02 — Respect wildlife
Never handle, bait, chase, trap or disturb an animal or damage a plant for a photograph. Observe from a safe distance.
03 — Follow local rules
Obey reserve, park, beach, property and road-safety rules. Do not enter restricted areas or put yourself or others at risk.
04 — Earn responsibly
Points, badges and recognition are based on genuine discoveries, learning, variety and participation—not expensive equipment.
Safety and conservation
Keep children supervised, avoid dangerous wildlife encounters, protect sensitive locations where appropriate, and leave no trace. If an observation could put wildlife at risk, prioritise conservation over points.
